Psychological Support for Your Wellbeing and Personal Growth
Psychological Support for Your Wellbeing and Personal Growth

Hi there, I’m Corrie Playford-Browne (she/her), a registered Sydney psychologist with a Master of Organisational Psychology and the founder of Steady Tide Psychology. With over 15 years of experience providing mental health support in organisational settings, I focus on wellbeing, inclusion, leadership, and mental health advocacy. My gentle, grounded approach to therapy honors both the emotional and practical aspects of being human.
My work centers on helping people navigate anxiety, burnout, stress, identity shifts, parenthood overwhelm, life transitions, and workplace conflict. I understand the emotional toll of trying to hold everything together and offer therapy that is spacious, warm, and validating.
At Steady Tide Psychology, we walk at your pace, with compassion, clarity, and a focus on helping you reconnect with who you are beneath the noise, expectations, and pressure. My areas of focus include:
- Burnout & workplace conflict
- Parenthood identity fatigue
- Generalised anxiety & overthinking
- Stress & emotional overload
- Life transitions & identity shifts
- Boundary-setting & self-esteem
- Career pressure, misalignment & workplace issues
- Perfectionism, people-pleasing & self-doubt.
The practice is located in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney (Coogee).
For those who live in the area (Bondi, Randwick, Clovelly, Waverly, Maroubra etc) we're close by for face to face appointments, otherwise we can facilitate online sessions

Before any tools or techniques, therapy with me as a Sydney psychologist is grounded in human connection, empathy, and presence. Together, we tackle challenges such as anxiety and burnout, allowing you to set the pace while your experiences guide the direction of our sessions. My role is to provide mental health support, assisting you in navigating workplace conflict and helping you achieve meaningful progress without judgment or pressure.
CBT is a practical, down-to-earth approach that provides valuable mental health support by assisting individuals in recognizing and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to stress, burnout, and anxiety. Together, we aim to understand the thoughts that fuel your worries, explore patterns that no longer serve you, learn new ways to respond to stress, and practice small, achievable actions that build confidence. As a Sydney psychologist, I also address workplace conflict to foster a healthier work environment.
ACT is a more emotion-friendly approach that helps you make room for difficult feelings rather than fighting them. It focuses on being kinder to yourself, reconnecting with your values, and choosing actions that feel meaningful, even on tough days. This method is particularly beneficial for those struggling with anxiety, burnout, and emotional overload, as well as individuals facing uncertainty or change. Seeking mental health support from a Sydney psychologist can offer additional guidance in managing workplace conflict and improving overall well-being.
Your first session with our is a little longer (75–80 minutes) to give us the space to slow down and understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.
In this session, we will take a conversational history, explore what brought you here, understand the patterns, pressures, and emotions involved, identify what you need most right now, clarify your goals (even if you don’t know them yet), and create a plan that feels safe, manageable, and aligned with your mental health support needs.
There is no pressure to prepare anything. Many clients simply show up and talk, and we gently piece things together from there. This extended session is $285 and includes your intake, any initial assessments, and treatment plan.
Initial consultation (75–80 minutes): $285
A spacious first session to understand your history, concerns, and goals, especially if you are dealing with anxiety, burnout, or workplace conflict.
Standard consultation (50 minutes): $250
Art Therapy Group Sessions (not eligible for Medicare rebate): $120 per person (90mins)
Other information:
I am registered with Medicare, and Mental Health Care Plans (MHCPs) from your GP are welcome. If you have a MHCP, you will receive a Medicare rebate of approximately $93.35 per session, which reduces your out-of-pocket cost. You can attend with or without a referral — a MHCP simply helps reduce the fee. Private health rebates may also apply depending on your provider. Concession fees may be considered on a case by case basis.
Steady Tide Psychology welcomes individuals of all identities and backgrounds, including culturally diverse communities, First Nations peoples, LGBTIQ+ communities, and anyone seeking a safe, respectful, and affirming therapeutic space for mental health support. We understand the impact of anxiety, burnout, and workplace conflict on overall well-being, and our experienced Sydney psychologist is here to provide the necessary support.
